2008 Season is Back!

Alright fans, get your ticket refunds ready, the 2008 season is back on! It seems the NLL and the PLPA have finally come to an agreement.

Shortly after the cancelation announcement last week there were rumours circulating that both parties had begun negotiating again. Reaction to the rumour of renewed talks was mixed, with some saying it was in preparation for 2009, and others hoping it was to salvage this season. Looks like the faithful won this round. (more…)

Digging into the PLPA Response on the Cancellation

2008 NLL Season Cancelled

Well, that was fun. It seems the NLL and the PLPA could not reach an agreement over the weekend.

According to NLL.com the PLPA rejected the proposal “without permitting all of the players to vote on the league’s final offer.” The website does not disclose the terms of the final offer. (more…)

Quick Thoughts on the CBA Talks

In case you haven’t been paying attention, the Professional Lacrosse Players Association (PLPA) and the NLL are trying to work out a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). I would really like to emphasize the word trying because, based on what I’ve read, it’s very subjective in this particular case. (more…)

Calgary Roughnecks 2008 Schedule

A couple weeks ago, I mentioned I was still working on the 2008 Calgary Roughnecks schedule. At the end of the day, I had a downloadable schedule and one set up on Google Calendar. After some thought, I decided that instead of looking for an easier way I would just put the time and effort into setting up the full 2008 NLL schedule on GoNecksGo.com. (more…)
